“Flowers’ Whisper” Association and A Different Type of Art online community launched the project Art for the Sake of Woman, for the benefit of the abused women in Romania. Based on the artists’ pro bono involvement and on the online promotion of the works donated by them, via art pages with over 5 million members, the project Art for the Sake of Woman was launched in August 2019 and aims at organising various artistic events, for charity, to help the abused women, victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. The project started with an online campaign organised on the Association’s Facebook page, by which numerous artworks donated by artists from the country and abroad were promoted for sale. Thirty-three artists from UK, Israel, Germany, Bosnia, USA and Romania joined the project, donating one or more works of their own, of painting, drawing, plastic art, clothing, jewellery and other type of handmade objects.
